I am going to buy some blueberry bushes sometime in the near future. I am wondering what type of blueberry variety is everyones favorite. My father has a blueberry bush that produces very good blueberrys, but he does not know what type it is. I am interested in a fairly sweet berry. Any suggestions?

Your garden centre should have good plant descriptions with each plant they sell. And they will be suitable for growing in your area if you get them from a local nursery.

I like Brightwell and Climax. I also have Woodard, which is also a good berry. These can all be used to pollinate the others, which is required for good fruit set.
Good luck and enjoy!

Depends upon whether you want a high-bush or low-bush blueberry, Vaccinium. My favorite is the Top hat blueberry and it is a low bush. . . only gets 18-24 inches tall and it can really put out the blueberries. If you are interested in container blueberries the Top Hat is a real winner: http://www. naturehills. com/product/top_hat_blueberry. aspx.
