I’ve got a large, healthy blueberry bush until now it seems. I’ve got these gray things here and there on the bush. They look like seed pods or something…..sort of like an overgrown kidney bean but gray. Some of them have little holes in them. I can’t tell if they are surrounding a blueberry or not. I first noticed them last year but there were only a few and I ignored. This year there are substantially more. I’m concerned but I can’t seem to find a match to what these things are when I search around the internet. Any thoughts?

Seems like some kind of gall. There is/was an insect larvae inside . Didn’t find it on any of several blueberry pest/disease sites, so is probably (relatively) harmless.

Symptoms
The first symptom of shoot blight (shoot strike) is browning along the major leaf veins. The leaves wilt quickly and bend to resemble a shepherd’s crook. A light gray powdery layer of spores develops at the leaf base. Flower strikes occur less frequently.

I think I have seen that one in a book and it’s name has something to do with a mummy. It does seem like a gall. Some garden Centers have books that you can look up things like that in to determine the right treatment.
