I wanted to landscape with raspberries but since raspberry plants are a little out of my budget I bought some raspberries and saved the seeds.

I live in texas and it gets to be from 90-100 in the summer. I want to grow blueberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, and peas. Do any of these grow well in the sun all day? Also, how do you know when to pick strawberries?

I live in N.Y. and have a few blueberry trees on my property. The reason I say trees instead of bushes is because they are very tall. They have not been pruned or maintined in over 20 years.
