The house I bought two years ago has around 24 blueberry bushes on the property. The lady’s great grandfather or something like that planted them a thousand years ago. No pressure.
These blueberries are huge and awesome. I want to keep these bushes going. How do I cultivate/care for them? I haven’t done anything and I’m coming up on 3 years in the home. So far so good but if there’s something I’m supposed to be doing I’d like to know before I kill them.
I’ve already ruined one vegetable garden and two flower gardens. The other flower gardens are holding their own but don’t hold a candle to what she ever did with them. What I’m saying is I’m not gifted. I don’t want to blow it with these blueberries.

ok my experience with blueberries has generally been in the wild and they prefer to grow in bogs so I might be much help.

Good luck, Mozz. I’ll star this and hope it helps. I just bought two new blueberry bushes that looked like twigs but are now growing super fast! I really have no clue what to do with them, they just sounded good.

I’m no expert on blueberries so here is a link listing all university extensions just click on the one from your state and you can either put that name in the search bar and add blueberries or contact the Master Gardner for the state and ask him how to care for them. It’s a free service, so take advantage of it/bookmark the link

Oh lucky you. I had a blueberry bush and it got destroyed by the squirrls. . lol But heres a care site for you and a recipe site if you feel inclinded to do anything with them. Ive used the care site before and its excellent. As for the recipes all are quite yummy too.
